Athletics/ PE

Students are required to take one full year of a Physical Education at the middle school.

 

There are three ways to get PE credit:

1. Athletics – This is a course designed for students who wish to participate in school sponsored teams. In addition to the Athletic class period, students are expected to practice and play outside of the school day.

2. PE – Physical Education involves achieving and maintaining the optimal physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of the individual. Activities will include team-based sports as well as individual challenges.  PE is for students interested in a non-competitive course Physical education is the area for students to engage in activities that are non-competitive.  Lifelong activities are learned to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  Participating in healthy physical activity and practicing healthful behavior are the goals of the physical education program.

 

3. Off Campus PE – The purpose of the Off-Campus Physical Education (OCPE) program offered by Carroll Independent School District (CISD) is to accommodate students who are making a serious effort to develop high level capabilities and to allow them to be involved in an off-campus program that provides training exceeding that offered in the school district. OCPE is for students who are participating in approved activities for at least 5 hours per week. There is an application required for OCPE participation.   1. Can you tell me about Physical ( hard Copy ) form dated by May 2015, how to purchase ticket for that purpose.

  2. I am not sure I understand the question, but if you are asking about the Physical that is required for athletics, you may want to contact either Coach Gulliford or Coach Davison. They have the most recent up to date information on physicals.
